Mossley Hill Junior Football Club are to hold a 'Open Day' to the community of Liverpool for children from the under 7s to the under 16 age groups. 

Our goal is to have all the members of the club experience the enjoyment and developmental benefits that are gained by mastering skills and habits and by participating at the highest level of competition across Merseyside.

Mossley Hill players acquire excellent physical conditioning, refine their technical skills, learn to understand the tactics involved in the game, establish new and lasting friendships, and acquire character building habits such as teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence.

Playing on one of our teams requires a level of commitment for both players and families. Regular attendance at training and games is expected, and coaches expect players to be on time and focused. Club teams vary in the number of games/tournaments that they participate in. Therefore, it’s important that you have an upfront understanding of what the time commitment will be.

What should I expect at the Open Day? 

Players should expect to participate in several technical skill activities and several small sided games over the course of an hour. Our Junior Coordinator and the coaches of the age group will make up the selection committee for each age group.

Most teams will be formed on the day of the 'Open Day' for each age group. All players interested in joining Mossley Hill Junior Football Club should ensure that they attend the 'Open Day' to avoid disappointment.

What do coaches look for at the 'Open Day'? 

Coaches are looking for competitive, athletic and technically skilled players who have the desire to improve. Coaches are also looking for coach-able players with the ability to listen and learn always.
